The Drive Home: The Great American Family Road Trip
America’s Automotive Trust is continuing its annual tradition with The Drive Home 2023: The Great American Family Road Trip. Kicking off September 3rd in Jackson, Wyoming, we will weave a bevy of vintage station wagons (and the first ever minivan!) through iconic National Parks and other automotive points of interest on the way to the The Motor City. We will land in Detroit on September 13 to kick off the 2023 North American International Auto Show.
Since 2015, The Drive Home has historically been an annual cross-country road trip featuring vintage vehicles with stops at automotive points of interest along the way to the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Each tour is designed to showcase the importance of automotive heritage in the United States, and its relationship to the car culture of today.
This year, we’re placing focus on an American tradition, the road trip. Station wagons and minivans long played a role in shuttling friends and family across the USA in search of dreams, awe and wonder. In 2023, that dream is alive and well and we invite you to participate in our cross-country cruise between September 3 and 13.
Join The Drive Home
Official crew of The Drive Home will stop at several exciting points of interest as the team crosses the Great Plaines. You can join The Drive Home for a leg of the journey via the Rallista app, or plan to meet up with The Drive Home at one of the public events if the caravan rolls through an area near you!
