The Drive Forward

The road may have been bumpy, but our wheels haven’t stopped turning… we’ve shifted gears, and we’re driving forward. We are committed to The Drive Home “Driving Forward” , so we pivoted in 2020 to The Drive Forward, a series of day drives across the country to support America’s Automotive Trust’s movement to keep car culture alive during this unprecedented time. Now more than ever, driving is about pleasure not a commute. Simply going for a pleasurable drive provides a sense of freedom. We believe The Drive Forward can be a beacon of hope, provide a sense of calm and normalcy in what has otherwise been a very uncertain time and offer enthusiasts an opportunity for enjoyment.

The Drive Forward is part of the Rally Across America national effort to raise $1Million dollars for local charities across North America. The goal of The Drive Forward is to encourage driving of collectible vehicles nationwide, giving enthusiasts the opportunity to participate while promoting the mission of America’s Automotive Trust and its member entities: LeMay – America’s Car Museum, the RPM Foundation, America on Wheels, Club Auto and the Concours Club.

Rallies will be held in communities across the country through September 2021 when The Drive Forward leaves from Hagerty Garage + Social in Chicago to kick-off Motor Bella at M1 Concourse in Michigan. AAT partners and volunteer rally ambassadors are invited to join the movement and organize day-drives for groups of 25 cars in their communities as part of The Drive Forward. America’s Automotive Trust’s partner Rallista, a phone app for navigation and participant registration, will make planning each drive effortless. A $100 tax-deductible donation for each participant will support America’s Automotive Trust and its member entities.

Interested in driving with The Drive Forward crew for a leg of the journey? Car clubs and enthusiasts are invited to join in their own vintage vehicles using the *Rallista app.

HOW DO I OPEN THE RALLISTA APP? Once the app is downloaded to your phone. Look for Rallista’s orange and white car icon on your device’s Home screen.

MAP & NAVIGATION: The map view is used for viewing routes as well as to start turn-by-turn navigation. Turn-by-turn navigation can be started whenever the map is displaying a route.
